A nearly 600lb woman who relied on her lesbian partner to physically care for her has shed a whopping 348lbs after having gastric bypass surgery and the excess skin that hung off of her thigh removed.
June McCamey, 45, from League, Texas, documented her weight loss story on the TLC special My 600lb Life: Where Are They Now? after she appeared on the reality series last year.
On Wednesday night's special, it was revealed that June went from 590lbs to 242lbs over the course of two years, using her desire to have her excess skin removed from her body as motivation to shed weight.

When June first appeared on the show, she relied almost entirely on her partner Sadi Gregory to do everything physical for her - including bathing her.
'When we first got together, I was much more mobile. Now I feel like she is taking care of me like I'm a kid,' she explained at the time.
Sadi admitted that when she first met June, she was attracted to her confidence and the fact that she 'liked to get out'. However, June's weight started to 'restrict her from doing a lot'.
But despite expressing her concerns about her partner's steadily increasing weight, Sadi didn't stop June from indulging in fast food on a daily basis - and even drove to go and pick up the fat-laden meals for her two or three times a day.

Emotional needs: After her gastric bypass, June sought help from a therapist to help her deal with the tragic death of her 17-year-old son, Kenneth
June packed on the weight during all four of her pregnancies; however, it was after the death of her 17-year-old son Kenneth five years ago that her weight really started to get out of control.
The mom knew Kenneth would be devastated by the state of her health, and she eventually consulted with weight loss expert Dr. Younan Nowzaradan in Houston, Texas, revealing that she had suffered a stroke in 2010 and a heart attack in 2011.
Dr. Nowzaradan admitted the mother-of-four to hospital to monitor her health before sending her home to lose some weight by herself before she could qualify for surgery.
After the operation June continued to struggle with her weight, and at one point she even gained 20lbs.
Success! Eventually, June began seeing a real difference to her body, and started shedding the pounds much more quickly and easily

While she was trying to get to grips with her new healthy eating regime, June began suffering from horrendous stomach pains that caused her to throw up everything she tried to eat.
And it wasn't just the physical ailments taking a toll on June's recovery. The devoted mother also realized that her ongoing sadness over the tragic death of her son was preventing her from really being able to embrace her new lifestyle because she was still living in the past, in the hopes of preserving his memory.
At the recommendation of her doctors, June decided to see a therapist, which allowed her to finally mourn her son without any guilt.
Kicking it in to high gear: Although she only lost 14lbs when she was expected to lost at least 20, Dr. Nowzaradan's refusal to perform the surgery eventually motivated her to lose weight

June even got a job a law firm, but her weight loss eventually slowed down, and she found herself arguing with Dr. Nowzaradan about her desire to get skin removal surgery,
However, the doctor insisted that she needed to get her weight under 300lbs before he would be willing to perform the procedure.

Although she was expected to shed 20 to 30lbs in one month, she only ended up losing 14lbs, and Dr. Nowzaradan once again refused her bid to get surgery.
It was in that moment that June got serious about her weight loss, and after getting down to 306lbs, she was finally approved to have the excess skin surgically removed from her right thigh.
After recovering from the surgery, June was motivated to go to the gym three days a week, and at the end of the episode she had lost a total of 348lbs.

The episode also featured Dottie Perkins who weighed 641lbs when she first appeared on the show last year.
The food addict was eating herself to death because of the stress of her disabled son Daniel's health, but after having gastric sleeve surgery, she shed 121lbs.
However, during the second year of her weight loss journey, she suffered a traumatic loss two months into filming when 13-year-old Daniel passed away after suffering from cerebral palsy.
Dottie turned to food for comfort while grieving, and she cancelled several appointments with Dr. Nowzaradan.
Struggling: Dottie also began aquatic therapy to try to deal with the traumatic loss of her son
Stuck: Despite her best efforts, Dottie hardly lost any weight after the loss of Daniel
Overcoming her pain: At the end of the episode, Dottie was finally ready to visit Daniel's grave and get her life back on track
When she finally saw him six months later, it was revealed that she lost a meager 11lbs. She was sent to see a therapist, and she also began aquatic therapy, but despite her best efforts, she only lost 6lbs over the next two months.
Dottie's stalled weight loss forced Dr. Nowzaradan to take drastic measures, and he turned her gastric sleeve into a full gastric bypass during a second weight loss surgery.
The surgeon stressed that Dottie was using food as an emotional crutch and not truly dealing with the emotional loss of Daniel passing away.
Although she admitted she felt suicidal at times, she eventually felt strong enough to visit Daniel's grave and get her weight loss back on track.
At the end of the episode, Dottie was down to 465lbs, losing a total of 176lbs.
