Bret McKenzie, being from New Zealand, had a small role in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King as a very pretty elf with very pretty hair. I assume that most New Zealanders had at least roles as extras in the trilogy, the country being so small and full of elfin-looking people. And now Peter Jackson has cast him in The Hobbit, apparently in another small role, but hopefully one that involves him and Jemaine rapping or parodying David Bowie songs.
