On October 28, it was reported that Matthew Perry, known for his roles in “Friends,” “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,” and “The Odd Couple,” passed away at the age of 54. Various media outlets confirmed his death.

TMZ stated that the actor, who had faced a long battle with substance abuse, was discovered dead in a jacuzzi at a residence in Pacific Palisades, California, due to a suspected drowning. Notably, no drugs were found at the scene. Deadline reported that first responders found him unconscious at his home but were unable to revive him. The Los Angeles Times noted that there were no signs of foul play.

Matthew Perry was famous for his role in the sitcom “Friends,” which aired from 1994 to 2004, alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer. In 2021, all six leads reunited for an HBO special. He also released a memoir titled “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir” in 2022.
