Giannis Antetokounmpos Height Next to 7 ft Shaquille ONeal Debunks a GiganticMyth

Shaquille O’Neal has long been considered one of the most fearless players to ever play in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers legend has traveled a lot in the NBA, playing in six teams throughout his whole career and winning the NBA Championship four times with two teams. And there seldom have been players who can match the legendary Basketball player in sheer stature.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar won the NBA Championship in  the 2020-21 season. He also won the NBA Finals MVP in the same season. The Greek Freak won the NBA MVP in 2018-19, and 2019-20 consecutively. Incidentally, the Bucks star was clicked with the Lakers Legend, debunking a myth surrounding O’Neal.

Shaquille O’Neal is not as tall as Giannis?

The Los Angeles Lakers no. 34 has always been called a ‘seven-foot-tall’ behemoth on the court. He also has always maintained that he was that tall. But recently when he was clicked with Antetokounmpo, he looked slightly smaller or the same size as the Milwaukee Bucks’ star.

O’Neal was asked about it on a podcast and he replied “He’s pretty up there.” He continued, “First of all, I’m not 7’1″. I’m 6’11”. I just played like I was 7’1″. And 7 foot 1 just sounded, you know, just so, you know.”

The Los Angeles Lakers legend has always been recorded as seven-foot-one, 325 lb on the NBA website. And this came as a shocking revelation to many. The picture clearly magnifies that the Greek freak wasn’t shorter than Shaquille O’Neal, if not equal. The basketball legend has high praise for Giannis Antetokounmpo and supports him all over social media.

The Lakers legend was a dream for the Lakers franchise during the start of the century, combined with Kobe Bryant. The Lakers were unstoppable as they won three championships on the trot.

O’Neal’s praise for Antetokounmpo

The 15-time All-Star has had high praise for the ‘Greek God’ for a long time. O’Neal posted an Instagram post to appreciate the Greek star on his performance after the NBA 2020-21 Finals, bestowing his “Superman” title on the Bucks’ star.

O’Neal recently said on a video that he has reincarnated into the NBA as “Greek Freak”. Safe to say, the Lakers legend is very fond of the 27-year-old basketball superstar.
