It's about a boy called Sam Temple. When all people over the age of 14 disappears everyone turns to him to be their leader and he doesn't know what to do, but when all the bullies start to take over the town he leaps into action to help the town of Perdido Beach and all the people in it. This is the first book in a series of five. I would definitely recommend this to people around my age (9 - 13). If people with magical powers fighting over a town with lots of blood and a few Coates mixed in as well sounds like your cup of tea, then you should definitely give this book a go because it is amazing! I would give it an eight out of ten!
