UFC President Dana White is hands down one of the most successful personalities not only in the world of sports but in the world in general. Recently, in an interview White revealed how he quit drinking at a young age to be more successful in life.
White said he quit drinking in his early twenties. The reason behind his decision was that drinking every weekend or even more is bound to deter an individual’s progress in life. So, he decided that he would drink when he is older and has reached the heights in life that he actually wanted to.
“I quit drinking when I was 20 or 21. Because I had this belief that you could never really get to where you wanted to be in life if you were drinking. Listen I can fu*king drink when I am 50, you know what I mean,” said White.
“When I have already made it and gotten to where I wanna be, I’ll start drinking. I didn’t quit drinking because it was a problem in my life. I quit drinking because I believed I wouldn’t be as successful if I kept drinking every weekend,” he said. White also said,“I didn’t start drinking again till we signed the direct TV deal with the UFC.”

While there is no denying the fact that White is the biggest promoter in MMA, he can make a case for being the most successful one in all combat sports as well. Although there is some stiff competition for that title, there is no denying the fact that White has completely transformed the sport of MMA forever.
